Pierson Farms is a family farm located in Burlington, Iowa established in 1929. Our goal is to maximize the value created for our business partners through the use of the latest technologies, agronomic best practices, and extra time taken to make sure the best job is done. Our row crop operation has been consistent in producing above-average crop yields and returns while our small livestock operation provides a product known for high quality and a health focus.

ROW CROP PRODUCTION

Pierson Farms focuses on utilizing cutting-edge farming practices as tested and proven within our operation to maximize with minimum costs. Timing is everything in farming, and our agriculture technology allows us to complete work in a timely manner. Our dedication to quality and getting the job done quickly results in maximized value for our business partners. A constant focus on understanding agriculture markets and CBOT pricing allows Pierson Farms to achieve top performing corn and soybean margins.

LIVESTOCK

Pierson Farms produces black Angus beef that is primarily grass fed which consistently grades as prime. Our customers are sure to receive a high-quality product safe from antibiotics or hormones. While conventional beef cattle eat a diet that includes grains, such as corn, grass-fed beef generally comes from cattle that eat only grass and other foraged foods. Because cattle diets affect the nutrients and fat in different types of beef, grass-fed beef may have some heart-health benefits due to the food they eat, such as lower total fat content and more heart-healthy omega-3 fatty acids.

  • "I have had the privilege of working with the Pierson family for decades with seed production for our company and found them to be extremely innovative and progressive. Their attention to detail is their strength always striving to do better and first to implement new strategies to improve quality and yields. You won't find nicer people to work with in farming."
